I always have a collection of bottles of different sizes at hand. They can be used to create a variety of toys and games for different ages.

Smaller bottles can be used to make really good rattles. 

Knocking over bottles is good fun at all ages. 

Putting a hat on a bottle is an invitation to reach for the hat or to knock the bottle over. 

A box or basket of bottles is an invitation to unpack. 

Infants and toddlers like to lift and move very big bottles
