Early standing - waist high support - Roan

Standing facing a waist high support surface offers infants an opportunity to practice standing in a position where their balance is less precarious.

They are able to stand with the hips in some flexion, supporting on their hands or forearms which provides a larger anterior base of support (BoS). In this position infants are less likely to topple backwards and land on their backs.
