At 9 months Will still spends focussed time exploring the properties of new tows. 

In this video you see Will playing with a new spiky ball. 

He uses two hands together to explore the shape of the ball by poking the spikes with his forefinger and turning the ball over to inspect it from all angles. 

From time to time he looks towards me to share his interest in this new toy with me. 

Typically he also knocks the ball off the tray and then looks over the edge of the chair to see where it has gone.  ​​​​​​
